Notice is hereby given that the City of Carpinteria’s Planning Commission will hold a Special Joint Meeting with the City Council at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2009.  After conducting the concept review hearing, the Joint Meeting will be adjourned; the Planning Commission will then reconvene to consider items on the Regular Planning Commission Agenda.

 

Any written, printed or electronic material and/or exhibit presented at this meeting becomes the property of the City, and a copy must be provided to City staff.

Disclosure of Ex Parte Communications

 

Conceptual review of a request from Peoples’ Self-Help Housing Corporation to:

 

I)     Dahlia Court Expansion:  Demolish one existing apartment and construct 33 residential apartment units, a 4,382 square foot community center and 33 new parking spaces under the provisions of the Planned Residential Development (PRD 20) Zone District.  The application involves APNs 003-590-042, -051 and -052, addressed as 1300 Dahlia Court.

 

II)   Camper Park Rehabilitation/Casas de las Flores:  Construct 40 residential apartment units, a 4,264 square foot community center and 79 parking spaces under the provisions of the Commercial Planned Development with Residential Overlay (CPD/R) Zone District.  The application involves APNs 004-013A-018, -019 and -020, addressed as 4096 Via Real.

 

        The applicant has requested that the review of this portion of the project be postponed to a future date.

 

The conceptual review application is not subject to review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

      Island Brew Brewing Company CUP Modification                    Planner:  Nick Bobroff

      Project No. 09-1486-CUPM/CDP

      Hearing on the request of Paul Wright, Island Brewing Company, to consider Case No. 09-1486-CUPM/CDP [application filed January 21, 2009] for review of a Modification to a Conditional Use Permit and Coastal Development Permit to revise the previous approval to allow for expansion of the use area to an outdoor patio and to extend the hours of operation under the provisions of the Commercial Planned Development (CPD) and General Industry (M) Zone Districts; and to accept the exemption pursuant to Section 15303 of the State Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act.  The project occupies a portion of a 1.5-acre multi-tenant commercial warehouse building shown as APN 004-105-004 addressed as 5049 Sixth Street.
