5. CONSENT CALENDAR
Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and are normally enacted by one unanimous vote of the Commission. Individual items may be removed and considered separately at the request of a Commissioner. Any item removed from the Consent Calendar will be added to another section of the agenda.
6. NEW PUBLIC HEARING
Hearing on the request of the Carpinteria Valley Arts
Council to consider Case No. 09-1534-DP/CDP [application filed November 19,
2009] for approval of a Development Plan and Coastal Development Permit and a
modification to zone district requirements to allow the construction and
operation of an approximately 8,000 square foot two-story arts center under the
provisions of the Central Business (CB) Zone District; and to approve the
Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the State Guidelines for Implementation
of the California Environmental Quality Act.
As a result of this project, significant but mitigable effects on the
environment are anticipated in the following categories: Aesthetics, Air Quality, Biological
Resources, Cultural Resources, Geology/Soils, Hydrology/Water Quality, Land
Use/Planning and Noise. The MND and all
