This time on the agenda provides an opportunity for the public to address the Planning Commission on items within the jurisdiction of the Commission and not listed on other sections of the agenda.  Please limit comments to no more than five minutes.  Depending on the number of speakers wishing to make comments, the Chair may further limit the time available to each speaker to control the amount of time spent on this part of the agenda.  If you wish to speak on a CONSENT CALENDAR item, please do so during this part of the meeting.

 

Please be advised that California law does not allow the Planning Commission to discuss or take action on any issue presented by the public during this portion of the meeting.  The Commission may ask a question for clarification, provide a brief response to public comment, refer the matter to staff for review and a later report or direct staff to place an item on a future agenda.

Silver Sands Mobile Home Park Government Code Consistency Determination

and Lot Line Adjustment

 

Hearing on the request of the City of Carpinteria Public Works Department and Silver Sands Village, Inc. to consider Case No. 11-1603-GC/LLA/CDP (request filed November 21, 2011) for a determination that the City’s abandonment and quitclaim of its easement interest in Dorrance Way, Cypress Avenue and a small portion of Third Street within Silver Sands Mobile Home Park to Silver Sands Village, Inc. and Silver Sands Village Inc.'s transfer of property consisting of its fee interest in Third Street to the City is consistent with the General/Coastal Plan of the City of Carpinteria pursuant to Government Code §65402, and to approve a Lot Line Adjustment and Coastal Development Permit under the provisions of CMC Chapter 16 to allow the relocation of the lot line separating the Silver Sands Mobile Home Park from the Salt Marsh Nature Park, merge the parcels owned by Silver Sands Village, Inc. in the MHP Zone District, merge the parcels owned by the City and developed as the Salt Marsh Nature Park in the REC Zone District and to approve an Exemption pursuant to §15305 and §15325 of the State Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act.  The application involves APNs 003-431-016, 003-431-013, 003-432-001, 003-433-001, 003-461-001, 003-462-001, 003-470-001 and 003-470-013 located at 349 Ash Avenue and the City’s Salt Marsh Nature Park.
